Clay County Football Represented with Honor at 2025 North-South All-Star Game

Clay County High School is proud to announce a remarkable achievement for its football program as three of its own—Head Coach Jason Nichols, Offensive Coordinator Brian Collins, and standout quarterback Noah Collins—have been selected to participate in the prestigious 2025 North-South Football Game. The event is set for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at South Charleston High School with kickoff scheduled for 12:00 noon.
Coach Jason Nichols Named Head Coach of the South Squad
Congratulations to Head Football Coach Jason Nichols, who has been chosen as the Head Coach for the South team in this year’s North-South All-Star Game. This honor reflects Coach Nichols’ outstanding career and leadership at Clay County High School, where he has achieved the highest winning percentage of any head football coach in school history.
During his 10-year tenure, Coach Nichols has guided the Panthers to multiple appearances in the WVSSAC playoffs, amassing an impressive 64-27 record. A defining moment came three years ago when, under his leadership, the Panthers hosted a historic home playoff game at Bradley Field—the only one in school history. His commitment to excellence and passion for the game have made a lasting impact on the Clay County community and high school football across the state.
Coach Brian Collins to Serve as Assistant Coach for the South
Also representing Clay County on the South coaching staff is Offensive Coordinator Brian Collins, who will serve as an assistant coach. Coach Collins has developed one of the most high-powered offenses in West Virginia, earning a reputation for innovation and success on the offensive side of the ball.
With coaching experience at every level of Clay County football—from little league and middle school to the varsity squad—Coach Collins has played a pivotal role in nurturing local talent and building a winning culture. His selection to the North-South Game is a testament to his dedication, expertise, and lifelong commitment to the game and the community.
Noah Collins Selected as Quarterback for the South Team
Adding to this outstanding representation is senior quarterback Noah Collins, who will take the field as a player for the South team. Noah has had a historic high school career as a four-year starter, throwing for over 9,600 yards and more than 100 touchdowns. He now holds the all-time records for both passing yards and touchdowns at Clay County High School.
Noah’s list of accolades is extensive. He is a three-time First Team selection in the Little Kanawha Conference, earned Second Team All-State honors as a junior, and was named First Team All-State his senior year. Additionally, he was recognized as both the Mid-Ohio Valley Quarterback of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year.
Noah’s hard work and perseverance have earned him the opportunity to continue his football career at the next level, having officially signed to play for the University of Charleston for the 2025–2026 season.
A Legacy of Excellence
Clay County High School is honored to see such tremendous representation in the 2025 North-South Football Game. The selections of Coach Nichols, Coach Collins, and Noah Collins not only celebrate individual achievement but also showcase the strength and success of the entire Panther football program.
We congratulate all three on this well-deserved recognition and wish them the very best as they represent Clay County with pride on June 14.
